Sikh Wedding Birmingham - Raj & Dav

This blog post has been a long time coming, this our most epic Sikh Wedding video to date spanning over 3 days. We covered the whole wedding using a 3 camera person team. My sister Gemma(who has been filming with me for 3 years now) my full time in house editor and camera man Rob and myself spent a total of 4 days in Birmingham covering the Civil wedding day (Highlights film from this day to follow in another blog post) the pre wedding parties and the main Sikh wedding day. We also worked with good friend and amazing wedding photographer Cris Matthews whom I have since worked with on many wedding (including an upcoming wedding in Lanzarote!). On the day Cris brought along another great friend and photographer of mine Hayley Ruth. Here is a link to a photo slideshow Cris put together of his photo's from the 3 days http://crismatthews.com/blog/2011/10/18/dav-raj-3-day-sikh-wedding-photography/

I was more than happy when Dav and Raj booked me, not least because I knew they would look amazing on camera, a very good looking couple indeed! They are both really lovely down to earth people and were so easy to work with. We had no Bridezilla moments whatsoever and Dav was very chilled and calm throughout the 3 days wedding days.

We set about using our full arsenal of equipment ranging from a 6m jib, glidetrack, ladder dolly, 3 x 5d mark 2's and a car camera mount as well as making use of our video lights for a night time bride and groom shoot.

It was an epic edit taking over 4 weeks of actual editing time but for me it was worth it as I'm really happy with the end results. We produced a 50 minute edit of the Civil Wedding day plus a 7 minutes highlights video, a 30 minute edit of the pre wedding parties and ceremonies, a 1 hour long edit of the main wedding day plus 10 minute highlights edit. On top of this we also provided the Sikh ceremony in full mulitcamed edited together plus the speeches in full again multicam edited.

Im not going to make you watch the whole wedding video edit but here is the 10 min highlights video for you to enjoy. As usual please leave any feedback, it's always nice to know what you think.

Harry + Alice Sevier - Osmaston Park Wedding

Almost a year ago we filmed the wedding of 'Laura and Leander' at Osmaston Park, we were lucky enough to come back this year and film the wedding video of 'Laura's' brother, Harry Sevier to his beautiful bride Alice Wingfield-Digby. Osmaston is truly an amazing venue to get married made even more special for Harry and Laura and its owned by relatives of Harry and he grew up with many happy memories of it.

The challenge for us was, how do we shoot the venue and surrounding area differently to last years wedding, and I think we managed to pull it off. Harry and Alice's wedding was stunning with some beautiful touches.

We loved filming the wedding video of Harry and Alice, they were both wonderful to film and very friendly and it always helps us when you can see 2 people who are very much in love which really does come across on the film.

Hope you enjoy the wedding video highlights!

If you find playback is stuttering a bit, click the HD button so its grey and it will play back in SD which will then play smoother depending on your internet speed.

Warwick Castle Wedding Video highlights

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Really Looking forward to a great 2012! We have some amazing weddings coming up, notably a trip to Geneva, Switzerland in March to film a wedding which we are really looking forward to.

Sorry I havn't blogged for a while, I have loads of new videos to put online but with the run up to Christmas being so busy we didn't get a chance to get them on. Today I have a great wedding to show you, its the wedding of Tansel and Shehla who get married in Warwick Castle and then a week later had there wedding evening party at the Jumeirah Hotel in Knightsbridge, London. My (female) assistant was particularly excited when she saw that the singer 'Lemar' was there as a guest, I managed to sneak in a quick shot of him into the highlights video so see if you can spot him!

Anyway, I hope you like it!

Louisa + Stuart Wedding Trailer

Today we have the wedding video trailer of Louisa + Stuart Munro. A lovely couple who were very warm and friendly people. We covered the day from Brides Prep through to the first dance. I shot this as a 1 camera man video, with me being the camera man (I film every wedding). We were able to use the car pod and the glide track to get some extra special shots. The wedding took place at Kelmarsh Hall in Northampton which is a truly stunning wedding venue.

Hope you enjoy the wedding trailer!

Osmaston Park - 'Leander + Laura' Wedding Trailer

2 posts in 2 days! Think this is a first for me........ Today I have possibly my favourite ever wedding trailers. the pressure was on as Leander is a BAFTA nominated film director so I needed to come up with the goods. I brought along all my gadgets, the 6ft Jib/Crane, the Glidetrack and the Car Pod (where I can attach the camera to my car).

I think I was always destined to film this wedding......

A few years ago I was searching amazon for some cinematic music to edit to and I came across a movie soundtrack to a film called 'The Crimson Wing' which is a Disney Documentary about Flamingo's. The soundtrack was produced by 'The Cinematic Orchestra' and is beautiful. I bought the whole album and subsenquently used the tracks on a lot of my wedding videos. Last year I recieved a call from Leander with regards me filming his wedding, he then proceeded to tell me he was a film director and had recently made a documentary for Disney called 'The Crimson Wing'. to add to the story the Cimentic Orchesta gave a private performance during the evening reception and it was also this film that helped bring together Leander + Laura.

Taking photo's on the day was the lovely Sophie Lindsay. She was really great to work with. Check out her work!

I felt very honoured to be filming the wedding video of Leander and Laura. Im really pleased with the trailer....hopefully you all like it too! Any comments are always welcome......

Enjoy!
